The fischer VBS-M brick-tie repair anchor is a mechanical system for the subsequent, officially approved fastening of masonry veneers with and without an air gap. The system consists of a plastic sleeve with a double expansion zone and a stainless steel screw. The VBS-M is installed in a time-saving through-hole installation in the backing wall and the facing masonry. The two expansion zones of the anchor create a secure fastening in the backing wall and in the facing wall. Only when the anchor engages in the backing wall is it fixed in the facing masonry. The fischer VBS-M brick-tie repair anchor is particularly suitable for the quick renovation of double-shell masonry to which an external thermal insulation composite system is subsequently applied.
