The splitting insert, forged from high-quality carbon steel, provides extremely effective splitting action thanks to its wedge-shaped nose. This is further supported by a total weight of 4,100g and a top-heavy design. The D60mm Superplastic insert is a medium-hard plastic insert made from extruded, extremely homogeneous material. Compared to injected plastic inserts, it is significantly more wear-resistant and durable. Using this soft-face side for wedging work completely eliminates the risk of injury from metal splinters, and plastic and aluminum wedges will last much longer. The malleable cast iron housing features an integrated handle protection sleeve, ensuring high break resistance. The long-fibered, very stable hickory handle is lacquered and ergonomically shaped. The leather edge protector prevents injuries during transport. In accordance with the clever SIMPLEX principle, all components are interchangeable and retrofittable.
