SBA 3-45 AW The Grundfos SBA 3-45 AW is a complete unit with a submersible pump for pumping and boosting clean water. It is particularly suitable for rainwater applications and small domestic wells, and thanks to its submerged operation, it is a quiet alternative to dry-mounted pumps. The SBA has an integrated control unit, so no external control is required. The pump components are made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant composite material and stainless steel. The SBA 3-45 AW is equipped with a 15 m supply cable. The maximum immersion depth below the water level is 10 m. The permissible media temperature ranges from 0 Celsius to 40 Celsius. The pump starts automatically as soon as the pressure in the line drops below 2.2 bar. The SBA 3-45 AW is ideally suited for use in wells and underground storage tanks because solid particles are prevented from entering the pump. The pump is equipped with a side inlet/flexible suction hose with a floating suction strainer with a mesh size of 1 mm. The single-phase version is protected against overload by an integrated thermal protector. If overheating occurs, the pump switches off automatically. After cooling down to normal temperature, the pump restarts automatically.
