Of course, there are also changes here: tiles and fine stoneware slabs are getting larger, thicker, and, above all, harder. When drilling with diamond drill bits, it's important to remember that the hole is ground into the material, not drilled. Diamond drilling is a grinding technique. A 6 mm diamond drill bit therefore requires a speed of 8,000 rpm. Grinding technique requires high speed. Diamond drilling with, for example, a cordless screwdriver at approx. 1,300 rpm is therefore only an emergency solution and carries the risk that the drill bit will wander when starting, as diamond drill bits do not have a centering tip. The new BRIspeedDrill set from BRINKO offers the advantage of a small, handy, and therefore easy-to-use machine. In contrast to the BRIspeedDrill, working with an angle grinder in confined work environments is very difficult. With the precise starting point provided by our BRIspeedDrill, the mounting holes are even covered by the often very small cover rosettes. Another advantage is the suitable speed of approx. 8,000 rpm, compared to an angle grinder which operates at 11,000 to 17,000 rpm, thus increasing wear on the diamond drill bits. The delivery includes a 4.0 Ah battery as a standard battery and a 2.0 Ah battery, which, due to its smaller design, counteracts space problems. The BRINKO diamond tile drills have a vapor-deposited carrier layer with a large diamond content of coarser diamond pieces. This makes drilling performance more aggressive and faster, the drilling process generates less heat and therefore manages with the integrated paraffin cooling wax – no splashing water in the almost finished bathroom. The high proportion of industrial diamonds – these have sharper edges than natural diamonds – also ensures long drilling enjoyment up to Mohs hardness 7 with our drills.
